For Valentine’s Day 2024, No Compromise Gaming and Cast Iron LA brought a gamer twist to the season of love with a campaign centered on “breaking up” with consoles in favor of gaming PCs. The campaign included an original song, written and produced in-house, paired with dynamic visuals to deliver a humorous yet relatable message that resonated with the gaming community.
Challenge
Gaming is deeply personal, and switching from console to PC can feel like a big shift for gamers. Our goal was to frame this transition as an upgrade while maintaining a fun, lighthearted tone that gamers would embrace—not just another ad, but an anthem.
Strategy
The strategy was simple: create a breakup song that would capture the sentiment of leaving consoles behind. With lyrics and visuals that spoke directly to gamers, we used playful messaging to encourage players to take the plunge into PC gaming. By blending relatable humor with an on-brand Valentine’s Day theme, we created content that was true to NCG’s unique voice.

Using stock footage, our team crafted visuals that added humor and emotion to the song, with all writing, editing, and production handled in-house.
