The Challenge

Radar detectors are a commodity to most people. Escort needed to launch the Redline 360c, their most advanced product, and make it feel premium. The target was a younger, tech-forward audience who had never thought twice about the category. We had to reframe radar detection from a niche hobbyist product into a performance essential.

The Strategy

Own the color red. Build a world called the Red Zone: a visual and conceptual platform that signals performance before anyone reads a word. Campaign line: REDefine the Road. The Red Zone wasn't just a color scheme. It was an identity system that made every Escort touchpoint instantly recognizable across channels and contexts.

Stage 1 — Platform Development

Red Zone visual identity designed from scratch. Color-coded creative system applied across every asset, so the brand is recognizable before the product name even registers. We developed guidelines, templates, and a visual language that Escort's internal team could extend and maintain beyond our engagement.

Stage 2 — Execution

Online ads, video, website updates, email campaigns, and a dedicated Reddit Red Zone community with influencer integration. Reddit was a deliberate choice: radar detector enthusiasts live there, and they can spot inauthentic marketing instantly. Every touchpoint existed inside the same visual world so the brand built recognition with each impression.

Stage 3 — Launch

Full campaign in market across digital channels. Reddit served as the primary hub for the enthusiast audience, where radar detector buyers research, compare, and make decisions. Paid social and display extended reach to the broader performance-driving audience. Influencer partnerships added credibility within the community.

Outcomes

Redline 360c positioned as the premium choice in a radar detection market projected to nearly double to $870M by 2032. Red Zone visual identity established as a platform, not just a campaign. The system was designed for longevity, and Escort has used it as the foundation for subsequent product launches.
